STAS is partnering with Hilti to run an anchoring competency course for all our fellow Construction members!
This course is a specialist skill-based training aimed at site based staffs of contractors or stakeholder partners. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and competency required to manage and supervise post installed anchor installations in meeting the required level of safety and quality, as well as in compliance with BS8539:2012 Code of Practice.
Below are the key learning from the course:
- Identifying different commonly used types of anchors and the most suitable anchor for different applications
- Supervision such as embedment requirements and acceptance inspection of post-installed anchors (mechanical and chemical anchors) and rebar application
- Understanding of regulatory compliance for works carried out under BS8539:2012 Code of Practice
